From Sare, a Labourd commune close to the 4-star Pays Basque campsite, you’ll board the most famous train in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques: the Rhune train. From the Col de Saint-Ignace, you’ll climb aboard a cogwheel train to an altitude of almost 1,000 m. Once at the top, you’ll have a magnificent panoramic view of the Pyrenees, the Atlantic Ocean, the Basque Country and the Landes. You can walk back down to the Col de Saint-Ignace or Ascain.
